The Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO) will renovate and develop the Ostraya Mogila memorial in Lugansk by City Day in September, a RVIO functionary  told the Lugansk Media Center.

"The memorial will be upgraded to link the four generations of Lugansk region defenders: Civil War and Great Patriotic War fighters, militiamen of 2014 and Special Military Operation participants,” RVIO  Deputy Chairman Nikolai Ovsiyenko said.

He discussed  renovation details with Lugansk mayor Manolis Pilavov, Lugansk People's Republic Culture Minister Dmitry Sidorov and RVIO representative in the LPR Vadim Lobin.

“It is very important to unveil the monument by Lugansk City Day which is marked on September 10 this year," Ovsiyenko said. “I very much hope that this place will motivate visitors to learn more about Lugansk defenders.”
