LPR launches first branch of Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund in four new regions

The opening ceremony of the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund (TFOMS) has taken place in Lugansk.
 
 Lugansk People’s Republic residents can henceforth visit the TFOMS to take out health insurance which guarantees full-fledged free-of-charge medical assistance both in the region of domicile and elsewhere in Russia, including high-tech medical assistance in any federal clinic.
 
LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik and LPR Healthcare Minister Natalia Pachenko cut the ribbon to inaugurate the regional branch of the organization.
“It’s another big step towards integration in the legal and social environment of the Russian Federation,” Pasechnik said. 
 
 “The Lugansk People’s Republic is the first among the four new regions to have opened the territorial Fund,” said the LPR healthcare minister. 
 
 During the ceremony, health insurance certificates were handed in to several LPR residents.
 
 Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund (FFOMS) Deputy Chairman Alexander Ryzhikov thanked the LPR leadership for comprehensive assistance in opening the regional branch of the organization.  
 
 In early December 2022, Pasechnik and FFOMS Chairman Ilya Balanin signed an agreement on interaction.
 
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
