Five civilians killed, 15 wounded in Kiev artillery strikes at LPR over week

Kiev forces have shelled the Lugansk People’s Republic three times over the past week killing five civilians and wounding another 15, said the LPR Office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC).
 
“Over the past week, the LPR Office at the JCCC recorded three strikes at the settlements of Lugansk, Lisichansk and Kalinovo-Borshchevatoye by Ukrainian armed formations,” the JCCC said. “The enemy fired one Storm Shadow cruise missile, one high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) missile and one 155mm artillery round killing five people and wounding another 15, and damaging 36 homes and three civil infrastructure facilities.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
