Woman wounded, homes damaged or destroyed as Kiev fires HIMARS at Troitskoye - JCCC

Ukrainian forces fired an American high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) at the Troitskoye township wounding a woman and damaging or destroying homes, the Lugansk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“Ukrainian armed formations shelled the settlement of Troitskoye (Troitsky district) at 06:15 using HIMARS (four missiles),” the JCCC said.

Preliminary reports said that a 72-year-old woman had been wounded. An apartment building was partially ruined, and another four apartment buildings and a television tower were damaged.

In the previous 24-hour period, Kiev forces shelled the territory in the LPR responsibility zone three times.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *i*s
