Woman killed as Ukrainian forces shell Novodruzhesk – Town Hall

A woman has been killed in a Ukrainian artillery attack at Novodruzhesk, a settlement administered by Lisichansk authorities.

 

“The center of Novodruzhesk has come under Ukrainian Nazi artillery fire,” Lisichansk Town Hall officials wrote on Telegram. “Projectiles hit homes in Mira and Lenin Streets. Damage was caused to windows and walls. A woman was wounded in the strike. Regrettably, she died of her wounds. “

 

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
