Ukrainian strike causes power outages in Rubezhnoye, 30 neighboring settlements - JCCC

Military&Defence
A Kiev artillery strike has damaged homes and two electrical substations causing power outages in the town of Rubezhnoye and more than 30 neighboring settlements, the Lugansk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes (JCCC) reported.

Ukrainian armed formations shelled Rubezhnoye at 01:52 using an American high mobility artillery rocket system.

“A missile fired from an American M142 HIMARS at Rubezhnoye damaged homes and the Central and South substations causing power outages in the town and more than 30 nearby settlements,” the JCCC said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic joined Russia on September 30, 2022, based on the results of the unification referendum.*i*ie
