Ukrainian forces fire Tochka-U missiles on Svatovo, three civilians injured

Military&Defence

Ukrainian forces fired a Tochka-U missile on Svatovo injuring three civilians and causing multiple destructions, the LPR Mission to the JCCC said.

"The Mission recorded a shelling targeting Svatovo at 8:15 a.m. July 29 with employment of Tochka-U missile systems. Early reports say that three civilians were injured, four residential houses, several garages and civilian vehicles sustained damage," the statement reads.

Ukraine has been carrying out a military crackdown against Donbass since 2014. Multiple announcements of ceasefires failed to stabilize the situation. The simmering armed conflict escalated rapidly in February this year, and sent Donbass barrelling towards an unprecedented bloodshed.

Russia intervened on February 24 by launching a special military operation to demilitarize Ukraine and bring peace back to Donbass. *t
