Ukrainian army manpower losses on Krasny Liman axis reach over 30 in 24 hours - Defense Ministry

Military&Defence
Ukrainian forces have lost more than 30 servicemen on the Krasny Liman axis over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

“On the Krasny Liman axis, Central Military District artillery inflicted damage on units of the Ukrainian army’s 80th and 95th Air Assault Brigades in the areas of Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic) and Serebryanka (Donetsk People’s Republic),” the Ministry said. “More than 30 Ukrainian servicemen, five armored combat vehicles, an M-777 artillery piece and two US-made AN/TPQ-37 counterfire radars were destroyed.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
