Ukrainian army jams OSCE UAVs five times in a week

Employing combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in 30km-wide zone along the line of contact is banned under Article 7 of Minsk Memorandum, with the exception to OSCE SMM UAVs.

Kiev forces jammed unmanned aerial vehicles of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in five separate incidents during this week, the LPR People’s Militia official spokesman Ivan Filiponenko said at a press briefing.

"Five incidents involving jamming OSCE aerial vehicles by Ukrainian army were recorded this week".

Electronic warfare units of the 20th separate battalion jammed SMM's UAVs outside Zolotoye, Vershina, Krinichnoye, Vozdvizhenka and Luganskoye.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. Conflict settlement relies on the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, signed on February 12, 2015 in the Belarussian capital by the Contact Group members and coordinated by the Normandy Four heads of states (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine). The document provides for ceasefire and withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line. *t
