Kiev forces have fired 10,452 rounds of ammunition at the Lugansk People’s Republic since the contact line escalation on February 17, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

“The enemy expended 10,452 rounds of ammunition overall (from February 17 to August 11), including 34 Tochka-U tactical missiles, 79 US-made M142 HIMARS (high mobility artillery rocket system) missiles and 2,207 BM-21 “Grad,” BM-27 “Uragan” and BM-30 “Smerch” MLRS projectiles,” the JCCC said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The Donbass peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*s
