Two civilians wounded as Kiev forces shell Lisichansk - JCCC

Military&Defence
Kiev forces have fired a 155mm artillery piece at Lisichansk wounding two civilians, said the Lugansk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes (JCCC).

“Ukrainian armed formations shelled Lisichansk at 17:00 using a 155mm artillery piece (two projectiles). Two civilians were wounded and a house was damaged in the attack,” the JCCC said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
