Two civilians killed, three wounded in Kiev artillery strikes at LPR over past week

Two civilians have been killed and another three have been wounded in Kiev artillery attacks on the Lugansk People’s Republic over the past week, said the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC).

“Five civilians became victims of Ukrainian armed formations aggression in the designated period (last week); of those, two were killed and three were wounded,” the JCCC said.

In February, one civilian was killed and another 11 were wounded in Kiev artillery attacks on the Republic.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
