Six civilians wounded in new Ukrainian artillery strike at Troitskoye

Military&Defence
Six civilians have been wounded in the second artillery attack on the Troitskoye township by Kiev forces, said the Lugansk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes (JCCC).

At 11:10 on Thursday, Kiev forces delivered a second strike at the township using a US-made high-mobility artillery rocket system, the JCCC said. “According to preliminary information, the enemy fired two HIMARS missiles wounding six civilians and damaging the general hospital and a shop.”

A woman was wounded and homes were damaged in the first strike at Troitskoye earlier in the day.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
