Russian air defense downs 40 Ukrainian UAVs over 24 hours

Russian air defense units have eliminated 40 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the special military operation zone  including the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. 
 “Five high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) projectiles and 40 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were eliminated in the areas of Velikiye Vyselki in the Kharkov region,  Kremennaya, Ploshchanka and Verkhnekamenka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Maryinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Ocheretovatoye in the Zaporozhye region and Novaya Kakhovka and Brilevka in the Kherson region,” the Defense Ministry said.
Task Force “West” repelled three attacks by assault units of the Ukrainian army’s 60th Mechanized Brigade, 25th Airborne Brigade and 95th Air Assault Brigade in the areas of Sinkovka in the Kharkov region and Novosyolovskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
 
The Ukrainian army lost up to 30 servicemen and two cars, the Defense Ministry said.*i
