Russian prosecutor general orders to establish prosecutor’s offices in four new Russian regions

Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov has issued an order to establish prosecutor’s offices in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Donetsk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the press service of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) reported.
 
“The order envisions the establishment of regional prosecutor’s offices, as well as subordinate town, district, territorial or specialized prosecutor’s offices,” the report said.
 
The PGO set up special commissions to handle the establishment of prosecutor’s offices within the Russian Public Prosecution Service.
 
Arrangements have been made for filling the vacancies for heads of the newly established prosecutor’s offices, the PGO said.
 
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022, based on the results of the unification referendum.*i*ie
