Russian Federal Medical Biological Agency carrying out well child checkups in LPR

Personnel of Russia’s Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) are carrying out medical examinations of children in the Lugansk People’s Republic as part of preventive healthcare, the FMBA press service reported.
 
“Specialists of the FMBA’s joint mobile medical team have arrived in the LPR to carry out well child checkups,” the report said.
 
The team of medics includes an expert in pediatric help, pediatric surgeon, urologist/andrologist, cardiologist, gynecologist, dentist, neurologist, ear, nose and throat doctor, ophthalmologist, orthopedic traumatologist, psychiatrist, ultrasonic and functional diagnostics experts and nurses.
 
FMBA team leader Dmitry Glukharyov said that the specialists who arrived in the Republic have been provided with necessary consumables and medications.
“Doctors examined some 270 children aged 7 to 15 in the first three days. The target number reaches over 11,000,” he said.
 
LPR Healthcare Minister Natalia Paschenko said that as of late November, some 15,000 LPR children or 10 percent of all children in the LPR had had scheduled checkups.
 
The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
