“Russian Donbass” doctrine key objective is LPR, DPR integration with Russia - Pasechnik

LUGANSK, January 28 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The key objective of the “Russian Donbass” doctrine is integration of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republic in the political and economic space of the Russian Federation, LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik said at the “Russian Donbass” integration forum in  Donetsk.

“The plenary session (of the forum) discussed the issue of the Russian Donbass doctrine,” Pasechnik said. “The key objective of the doctrine and my objective, as Head of the Republic and (Head of the DPR) Denis Pushilin, is integration in the Russian Federation, returning Donbas into the political and economic space of the Russian Federation.”

The forum presented concrete evidence that historically, Donbas is part of the Russian Federation, he said.

“We are definitely Russian people. The Russian language is a key point in our lives as the basis for Russian statehood and Russianness. We, Russians, speak the Russian language and we want to study in Russian; today, we cannot conceive our future without the Russian Federation,” the LPR leader said.

The forum will continue with the round table discussion “Practical implementation of the Russian Donbass doctrine in DPR and LPR living environment” to set the tasks and guidelines and outline solutions for attaining the “Russian Donbass” doctrine goals, he said.

 The forum presented the cultural and historical doctrine “Russian Donbass” which has to become the ideological platform of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
