Russia’s Promsvyazbank (PSB) has opened more than 400 offices in the new regions of the Russian Federation, PSB Chairman Pyotr Fradkov said.

“We’re working proactively; as of now, PSB has opened over 400 offices in the new regions, not necessarily in large centers,” Fradkov said in the performance report to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin adding that the Bank had offices in 82 settlements.

PSB is focused on the provision of quality banking which is available to citizens living in other regions of our country, he added.

The services include the opening of accounts, deposits or savings accounts, currency exchange operations, remittances to any region of the country and loans. A special emphasis is made on consumer loans which the Bank offers already.  Together with the Construction Ministry and The Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr), PSB is working on quick launch of the preferential mortgage program a rate of 2 percent, Fradkov said.

The Bank attaches an important significance to services for the military and volunteers, including the payment of social allowances and pensions.  Payroll card programs enable local residents and visitors to use PSB services without any restrictions, he said.

As of the beginning of February 2023, PSB operated 77 offices in the Lugansk People’s Republic and over 300 ATMs in some 50 LPR settlements. More than 900,000 residents of the region use PSB cards; some 33 percent are on PSB payroll card programs. The Bank has 24,000 LPR-based legal entities among its clients.

LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik earlier promised more PSB ATMs in the Antratsit district as the Bank announced the plans to expand its ATM network in the Republic.
