Russia’s ruling party gathers 800,000 books for LPR, DPR libraries

The “United Russia” (ER) political party has gathered more than 800,000 books for libraries of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics as part of the “Books for Donbass” action, Russian senator from the LPR, ER General Council Deputy Secretary Darya Lantratova said as a batch of children’s books was handed over to the Lugansk Library.
 
“United Russia” launched the Books for Donbass” action in March 2022 to replenish the stock of books in the Russian language in LPR and DPR libraries.
 
“All the regions of our big country have joined the action to donate books in various genres to our new regions," Lantratova said. “We’ve gathered more than 800,000 books, an impressive figure. We see the current demand.”
