A humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered 65 tons of food for residents of Severodonetsk and Rubezhnoye, the LPR Emergencies Ministry press service reported.

“On December 12, a new EMERCOM convoy delivered relief supplies for Donbass residents to the LPR capital,” the press service said. “Six EMERCOM trucks brought rice grits and canned meat and fish massing 65 tons.”

The trucks immediately drove to Severodonetsk and Rubezhnoye, it added.

On December 9, EMERCOM delivered 135 tons of foodstuffs to residents of Severodonetsk, Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye. Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 after the unification referendum.*i*ie
