A new humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered 50 tons of food to Lugansk, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported.

“On October 25, a new EMERCOM convoy delivered relief supplies for Donbass residents to the LPR capital,” the press service said. “Two EMERCOM trucks have brought 50 tons of buckwheat.”

On October 5, the 202nd EMERCOM convoy delivered foodstuffs and medical supplies to Lugansk.

Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014. Over eight years, it has sent more than 150,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the Donbass Republics.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.*i*ie
