Russia delivers 135 tons of food for Severodonetsk area residents

A humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered 135 tons of food for residents of Severodonetsk, Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye, the LPR Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
 
“On Friday,  December 9, a new EMERCOM convoy delivered relief supplies for Donbass residents to the LPR capital,” the Ministry said. “Twenty-two EMERCOM trucks with a load of foodstuffs massing 135 tons are on the way to Severodonetsk, Rubezhnoye and Lisichansk.”
 
On December 6, an EMERCOM convoy delivered 170 tons of food and medical supplies to residents of Severodonetsk, Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye. Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014.
 
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
 
The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
