Rubezhnoye power, gas  lines repaired

Electricity and gas supply to Rubezhnoye is as good as restored, acting mayor Sergey Khortiv told the Lugansk Media Center.

“Power and gas lines are 99 percent restored and water is supplied to 85 percent of customers,” Khortiv said.

The most challenging task was to repair the water lines to single family homes because of extensive damage to the mains, especially in the Zabirkino neighborhood in the south of the town, he said.

The town is using its own resources to carry out repairs, the mayor said.

“We had no contractors; the materials provided by Luganskvoda were used immediately.  There is a problem with water supply to tenantless apartment buildings in the winter, but we hope to resolve it before the beginning of the heating season,” he said.
