Retreating Kiev forces shell Kremennaya, cause casualties - activist

Military&Defence
Retreating Kiev forces on the Kremennaya axis deliver desperate strikes causing civilian casualties, said Lugansk People’s Republic activist Rodion Miroshnik.

“Ukrainian gunmen opened massive fire at Kremennaya residential areas and social facilities on Monday afternoon,” Miroshnik said in a post on Telegram referring to local residents.

A Ukrainian Tochka-U tactical missile struck the heat supply network and several people were wounded as six “Grad” multiple rocket launcher rounds hit the town.

Their condition is unknown. There is no telephone communication in the town. Damage was caused to windows glass and frames in residential areas.

“Unable to take the town, Ukrainian gunmen decided to bomb us dead. Many people have moved out. Hardly anyone is moving around the city. The second floor of the room where we keep relief supplies has been damaged as well,” Miroshnik cited a Kremennaya resident as saying.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum. *i*ie
