“Pushkin Card” to be available in new regions in 2024

The “Pushkin Card” program will be launched in the new Russian regions starting 2024, said Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova.
“We’re hoping to begin (the program) in the new regions next year,” Lyubimova said in an interview with “Izvestia.”
 
In 2023, the Culture Ministry plans to arrange trips to large Russian cities for 10,000 children from the new regions to introduce them to the culture of other parts of the country, she added.
 
“It’s very important to take them to Moscow, Petersburg, Tula and Kaluga first, for a week, to let them choose one of the themes, such as spaceflight, threatre or cinema, and visit the unique space, from the Moscow Planetarium to the amazing Tsiolkovsky museum in Kaluga,” the minister said.

The “Pushkin Card” program, launched in 2021 encourages adolescents and youths aged 14 to 22 to visit cultural centers at the expense of the state budget. The card’s face value is 5,000 rubles.
