Pasechnik presents Russian Defense Ministry medal to LPR health minister

Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik has presented the medal “For Strengthening Military Cooperation” to LPR Healthcare Minister Natalia Pashchenko, which was awarded to her by the Russian Defense Ministry.
 
“I have personally presented the medal for effective work and contribution to saving the lives of our soldiers,” Pasechnik said in a post on Telegram.
 
The LPR healthcare system is currently under tremendous pressure as medics are working in stressful and extreme conditions. Not only do they successfully fight serious diseases and perform elective surgery, but they also save the lives of defenders of our Motherland and civilians who get wounded in shelling by nationalists, he said.
 
“This is a decoration for every doctor and nurse who selflessly perform their human and professional duty to save the lives of our citizens,” the LPR leader said.
 
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
 
President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation on February 24, 2022 to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance.
 
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
