More than 1,700 Lugansk People’s Republic civilians have been killed and another 3,300 have been wounded as a result of the Ukrainian army aggression since 2014, LPR First Deputy Foreign Minister Anna Soroka said at the online conference “The Seared Memory of Donbass: Ukrainian army’s war crimes and new information on massacres of civilians.”

“According to our data, we can confirm more than 1,700 deaths of civilians (during the years of fighting in the LPR territory); of those, 35 are underage children,” Soroka said adding that 3,365 people were wounded.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. Conflict settlement relies on the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, signed on February 12, 2015 in the Belarussian capital by the Contact Group members and coordinated by the Normandy Four heads of states (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine). The document provides for ceasefire and withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line. *i*s
