Number of LPR schoolchildren grows to 130,000 due to liberation of territory - Pasechnik

The number of schoolchildren in the LPR has increased to 130 thousand due to the liberation of previously occupied regions of the Republic, the LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik said speaking ath the presentation of the Big Shift schoolchildren contest in Lugansk.

"Today, the territory of the Republic has almost doubled. If at the beginning of the active phase of hostilities, the number of students (at schools) was 90,000, today it is already about 130,000," he said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.

On February 24, 2022 Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Donbass to protect residents of the region from Ukrainian aggression. Earlier, the Heads of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, requested Russian President Vladimir Putin to provide military assistance. *t
