The Lugansk People’s Republic Construction, Housing and Utilities Ministry and municipal authorities have selected 109 land plots for housing construction, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin who discussed urban development and social issues with LPR officials in the course of his recent visit to the Republic.
“About 1.5 million square meters of housing are expected to be built in the selected locations which have a total area of 886 hectares,” Khusnullin said in a post on his Telegram channel.  There is a demand for housing in the regions where buyers can get preferential mortgage loans at 2 percent.
“If necessary, we’ll attract the resources of federal developers,” he said.

As of today, nine potential developers from Russian regions have submitted investment declarations to the Territorial Development Fund. They plan to implement their projects as Free Economic Zone participants. The first 15 land plots are due to be leased, the deputy premier said.

Khusnullin also said that he had met with LPR government chairman Sergei Kozlov to discuss budget formation for 2024 and the implementation of the socio-economic development program including the payment of pensions and allowances in the region.*i
