Lugansk People’s Republic medics have recorded 46 deaths due to COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“Forty-six deaths have been recorded which brings the LPR coronavirus infection death toll to 2,223 since the beginning of the pandemic,” the Ministry said.
The World Health Organization called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 243.8 million by now; of those, over 4.9 million people died, according to the World Health Organization. The LPR confirmed 17, 738 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures. *s
