“Under the resolution of the Russian Central Election Commission, LPR residents can participate in online voting which will run from September 17 to September 19. Prospective votes can submit their applications at the government services portal of the Russian Federation. To contribute to the vote, Mir Luganschine arranged the operation of 141 information centers to consult residents. They will operate across the LPR every day starting August 2. Opening hours: 9:00 - 19:00,” Miroshnichenko said.

He reminded that the Central Election Commission had approved the procedure for Donbass residents who have Russian citizenship to vote in the Russian parliamentary election. Thanks to the Russian leadership, they will be able to exercise their constitutional right, he said.

Miroshnichenko said that the information centers would have computer equipment and access to the internet to enable residents to apply for voting.

The addresses of the info centers are available via hotline 505 and in Mir Luganschine’s Hotline project at (0642) 93 72 07, (072) 108 55 06, on Mir Luganschine’s website and in groups on social media.

Earlier, Lugansk People’s Republic Head Leonid Pasechnik ordered to organize voting in the Russian parliamentary election for Russian citizens living in the Republic.

Starting July 1, LPR Migration Service offices began to accept applications from LPR residents for fast track personal pension account number and account registration on Russia’s government services portal. Mir Luganschine social movement offices provide consultations on obtaining personal pension account number (SNILS).

On April, 24, 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree easing citizenship rules for residents of the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic. The first center for LPR residents seeking Russian citizenship opened in Lugansk on May 6; on June 14, the first group of LPR residents received Russian passports. The Republic currently has such centers in all towns and districts. On April 24, 2020, Putin signed a law exempting Donbass Republics residents from paying the state fee for conferment of citizenship.

As of mid-June 2021, more than 250,000 LPR residents had been granted fast track Russian citizenship.
