LPR’s Pasechnik forms Cabinet, Sergey Kozlov appointed prime minister

Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik has signed a decree to form an 18-member Cabinet which will be headed by Prime Minister Sergey Kozlov.

“The top executive body has been established in full conformity with Russian laws. It will take over the functions of the previous LPR government and lead the LPR executive branch of power,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram.

Sergey Kozlov who was prime minister in the previous LPR Cabinet has kept his post. Alexey Samoilov has been appointed head of the LPR leader’s Office. It will control the implementation of the decisions made by the head of the Republic.

The Lugansk People’s Republic was the first among the new Russian regions to establish regional executive bodies. The next step is to set up municipal administrations which will complete the LPR’s integration into the Russian government system, Pasechnik said. *i*sb
