Lugansk People’s Republic representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) have recorded the aftermath of the Kiev forces’ strike at the Donetskiy settlement, which is a part of the town of Kirovsk.
On Wednesday evening, Kiev forces delivered mortar fire at Donetskiy damaging an apartment house and a utility shed.
“Ukrainian armed formations in the Novotoshkovskoye settlement area fired eight 120 mm mortar rounds at the Donetskiy settlement at 18:45 on January 12,” LPR Office expert Alexey Getmansky said.
LPR People’s Militia spokesman Ivan Filiponenko said that “these actions show Ukraine’s reluctance to stabilize the situation on the contact line” and that they are “designed to provoke the LPR militia into returning fire.”
Fire was delivered from positions of the Ukrainian army’s 57th Brigade at the order of Brigade commander (Colonel Anatoly) Mishanchuk, Filiponenko said.
The local utility company scrambled to replace the damaged windows  in four apartments as temperatures dropped to around minus 15 Celsius. *i*t
