LPR reports 32,561 covid cases

Lugansk People’s Republic medics recorded 32,561 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.

 “As of 09:00, June 10, the LPR had 32,561 confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the report said. A total of 28,992 people have recovered and left hospitals with two negative test results for COVID-19 since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak.

The World Health Organization called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 530.8 million by now; of those, over 6.3 million people died, according to the WHO. Earlier, the LPR confirmed 32,557 COVID-19 cases.

To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.  The Republic cancelled the high alert mode on May 30. *i*s
