Lugansk People’s Republic medics recorded 12,596 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 09:00, September 27, the LPR had 12,596 confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the report said.
A total of 9,430 people have recovered and left hospitals with two negative test results for COVID-19 since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak. Six deaths have been recorded since Sunday which brings the LPR coronavirus infection death toll to 1,265.
The World Health Organization called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 230.4 million by now; of those, over 4.7 million people died, according to the WHO.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.*i*r
