Lugansk People’s Republic prosecutors have filed 789 criminal cases since the beginning of this year over the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare by Kiev forces, LPR Prosecutor General’s Office spokeswoman Inna Semyonova said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.
“The PGO office which investigates crimes involving the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, a subdivision of the department for supervision over compliance with law in the armed forces, has instituted 66 criminal cases over the facts of use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, as well as over genocide,” Semyonova said. “This year, investigators of the above office have filed 789 criminal cases.”
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*s
