Lugansk People’s Republic prosecutors have filed 1,321 criminal cases since the beginning of this year over the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare by Kiev forces, prosecutor of the LPR Prosecutor General’s Office public relations department Yelena Gusak said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.

“The PGO department for crimes related to the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, and the office for supervision over compliance with law in the military sphere have filed 47 criminal cases over the facts of use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, as well as over genocide, and other crimes by servicemen of Ukrainian armed formations (over the past week),” Gusak said. “Investigators of the above department have filed 1,321 criminal cases since the beginning of this year.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *i*s
