LPR Post issues Lugansk People’s Republic Liberation postage stamp block

The LPR Post state unitary enterprise has put in circulation a stamp block named “Liberation of the Lugansk People's Republic."
 
“On December 7, 2022, LPR Posts is putting in circulation the Liberation of the Lugansk People’s Republic stamp block which is valid to pay for postal services in all post offices,” the company’s press service said.
 
The 152 x 120 mm block priced at 900 rubles has a print run of 1,800.  It features 40 x 30 mm LPR Liberation stamps devoted to large settlements such as Schastye, Svatovo, Rubezhnoye, Popasnaya, Zolotoye, Gorskoye, Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, with townscapes and insignias of the army units that participated in the liberation of the Republic from Kiev forces.
 
The postage stamp block is on sale at LPR post offices.
 
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance. On July 3, the LPR militia and Russian armed forces fully liberated the LPR territory from Ukrainian armed formations.
 
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022, based on the results of the unification referendum.*i*v
