LPR parliament vests senator powers in Olga Bas

The Lugansk People’s Republic top legislative body has vested Russian senator powers in LPR 3rd parliament deputy Olga Bas.
 
“On December 20, the LPR People’s Council considered and approved the resolution to vest the powers of Russian Federation senator in Olga Bas, a representative of the 3rd parliament of the Lugansk People’s Republic,” the parliament press service reported.
 
The parliament unanimously supported the resolution. It has come into force, the press service said.
 
The Federation Council upper house of the Russian parliament includes two representatives from each region from the legislative and executive branches of power. Under the law, the regional legislative body can only be represented in the Federation Council by a deputy of this body.
 
The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
