LPR municipalities get 2,000 pieces of equipment in 2023

Lugansk People’s Republic towns and districts have received nearly 2,000 pieces of municipal equipment over a year, LPR Acting Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Safety Yelena Boiko said at a Government House press briefing.

The Republic received, as part of the soio-economic development program, 1,674 1.1-cubic-meter mobile garbage containers, 233 8-cubic-meter containers, 43 garbage trucks and 14 waste disposal trucks,” Boiko said. “The property was handed over to LPR municipalities for effective waste disposal.”

Russian officials earlier said that the new regions would receive 150 pieces of municipal equipment and more than 11,000 waste containers worth over 1.3 billion rubles.

Russia’s environmental operator worked out a concept for the construction of three waste recycling plans in the LPR with a capacity of 700,000 tons a year. Russian authorities also approved the specifics of use of waste disposal laws in the new territories.*i*sb
