LPR militia demines five hectares in Kolaydovka, Pobeda areas over 24 hours

Lugansk People’s Republic engineers have demined more than five hectares of territory of the Kolyadovka village and Pobeda settlement in the Novoaidar district over the past 24 hours, LPR People’s Militia spokesman Ivan Filiponenko said.

“LPR militia engineer units continue mine clearance in the Republic,” Filiponenko said. “On October 4, they cleared more than five hectares of territory of the explosive hazards left by Ukrainian nationalists in the Kolaydovka and Pobeda settlement areas.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *i*t
