Lugansk People’s Republic engineers demined more than eight hectares of territory near the town of Gorskoye and Nizhnyee township of the Popasnaya district on November 30, LPR People’s Militia spokesman Ivan Filiponenko said.

“LPR militia engineer units continue mine clearance in the Republic,” Filiponenko said. “On November 30, they cleared more than eight hectares of territory of the explosive hazards left by Ukrainian nationalists in the Nizhneye and Gorskoye settlement areas.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 after the unification referendum.*i*ie
