LPR health ministry to get new ambulances, medical equipment

The Lugansk People’s Republic health authorities will procure  some 50 ambulances and more than 700 pieces of equipment for outpatient clinics as part of the national “Healthcare” project, said LPR Healthcare Minister Natalia Pashchenko.
 
“It is planned to purchase 47 ambulances and 742 pieces of new equipment for medical and obstetric centers and outpatient departments in primary care,” Pashchenko said adding laboratories at 38 outpatient hospitals across the Republic would be equipped as well.
 
A number of medical centers will be repaired and renovated as part of primary care modernization in 2024-2025. The Ministry will procure more vehicles, as well as mobile x-ray units and modular medical/obstetric and out-patient centers, she said.

The key objectives of the Healthcare project approved in late 2018 include reduction of population and infant mortality, dealing with the issue of understaffed medical organizations, providing each resident with the opportunity of preventive medical examination at least once a year , maximum availability of primary care organizations, streamlining the medical appointment procedure and increasing the volume of exports of medical services.*i*ie
