LPR Head gets “United Russia” membership card

Lugansk People’s Republic Head Leonid Pasechnik has received a membership card of the all-Russia political party “United Russia” at a ceremony held at the Vladimir Dal Lugansk State University.

“On my own behalf and on behalf of all (LPR residents) I assure you and the "United Russia" leadership in your person that we won’t let you down,” Pasechnik told Russian lawmaker Viktor Vodolatsky, chairman of the Union of Cossack Forces in Russia and Abroad who had passed him the membership card.

LPR youth representatives, community activists, Cossacks, teachers and heads of the Republic’s district administrations were among the first LPR residents to officially join “United Russia.”

Earlier, LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik said that residents of the Republic supported initiatives, plans and ideas of “United Russia” which helped the Donbass Republic ssurvive in 2014. He backed the initiative to set up a movement of “United Russia” supporters in the Republic. The Vladimir Dal Lugansk State University set up a center for submitting “United Russia” membership applications.

The Mir Luganschine social movement, Lugansk Economic Union, trade union organizations at LPR enterprises also accept applications from residents wishing to join the ranks of “United Russia” supporters. *i*s
