The Lugansk People’s Republic has ambitious plans for housing construction in 2024 and 2025, said LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik as he was inspecting the ongoing renovation works on Young Guard Heroes Square in the Republic’s capital.

“We’ll complete the works on the buildings in unfinished construction sites in the Republic this year; the construction plans for the next year and 2025 are ambitious,” Pasechnik said. “We’ll explore certain fine points such as mortgage loan opportunities and then start looking for construction companies.”

Lugansk mayor Manolis Pilavov  said that large-scale housing construction in Lugansk ended in 1986-1987. The city has put up apartment buildings in infrequent construction projects since some of which were never finished.

Earlier, Pasechnik said that LPR and federal authorities were working on a project for housing construction in several LPR settlelments.*i*v
