Lugansk People’s Republic firefighters extinguished 1,1 thousand blazes since the beginning of the year, saving 83 people, the LPR Emergencies Ministry reported.
“This year, 1,144 fires were extinguished in the Republic; 83 people have been rescued, as well as 84-milion total worth of property," the report reads.
The LPR Emergencies Ministry said that the common causes of fire were careless smoking (also while intoxicated), careless handling of fire and violation of safety precautions when operating electric appliances. *t
