LPR district hospital to have modern diagnostic laboratory

Society
The Stanitsa Luganskaya central district hospital in the Lugansk People’s Republic will launch a clinical diagnostic laboratory in accordance with Russian standards, chief doctor of the territorial medical association Valery Kononov told the Lugansk Media Center.

The facility will be set up on the premises of the non-operating Transfusion Department by specialists from the Volgograd region which sponsors the project.

“We have a diagnostic lab, but it is housed in the rooms that do not meet the requirements under Russian standards,” Kononov said adding that everything was being built from scratch: the walls, the floor, ventilation system with HEPA filters, exhaust fume hoods and disinfection posts.

The laboratory will meet all the requirements of Russia’s Rospotrebnadzor consumer health watchdog for waste disposal, personnel and biomaterials,” he added.

LPR’s Stanichno-Lugansky district and Russia’s Volgograd region signed a cooperation agreement in June 2022. *i*ie
