LPR completes liberation of Rubezhnoye by taking over industrial zone

The town of Rubezhnoye is fully liberated from occupying Ukrainian forces, the LPR People's Militia said on Friday.

"The town of Rubezhnoye is completely liberated," the report reads.

The Defence said that the last stronghold of Ukrainian fascists in Rubezhnoye, the Zraya plant, fell.

"LPR units have mopped up the entire industrial zone of Rubezhnoye and have finally driven the enemy out of the last residential neighbourhood they controlled, the Yuzhnyi residential area."

The LPR units have not sustained any casualties at this stage of the operation.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.

On February 24, 2022 Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Donbass to protect residents of the region from Ukrainian aggression. Earlier, the Heads of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, requested Russian President Vladimir Putin to provide military assistance. *t
