More than 2,100 residents of the Lugansk People’s Republic have been killed and more than 2,000 have been wounded in Ukrainian armed aggression against the Republic since 2014, LPR ombudswoman Viktoria Serdyukova wrote on her Telegram channel.

“In all, 2,104 civilians have been killed including 42 children and 2,012 have been wounded including 122 children during the whole period of Ukraine’s armed aggression,” Serdyukova said. “Damage has been caused to 18,719 houses and civil infrastructure facilities.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*s
