LPR builders repair roofs of 18 houses damaged in Ukrainian army strikes - Ministry


Lugansk People’s Republic construction workers have carried out roof repairs on 18 apartment buildings since the beginning of this year, as part of a government program to restore war-damaged civil infrastructure, the LPR Construction and Public Utilities Ministry press service reported.

“Construction companies continue to implement the government’s housing stock maintenance program for 2020-2022 which includes repairs of roofs of apartment houses damaged in fighting,” the press service said. “Works have been completed on 18 apartment houses; repairs are ongoing on three more buildings.”

As of early September, government program targets had been met by the administrations of Lugansk, Stakhanov and the Perevalsk and Slavyanoserbsk districts.

The roofs of five houses were repaired in the Perevalsky district; four are located in the Chernukhino township and one in Zorinsk. In Slavyanoserbsky district, works have been completed on one house in the Stepovoye village and three houses in the Slavyanoserbsk township . The roofs of three apartment houses were repaired in Stakhanov, while in Lugansk, repairs were run on four apartment houses. In Pervomaisk, builders restored the roofs of the apartment houses at 2 Ostrovsky Street and 12 Kharkovskaya Street.

The works on the remaining three houses will be completed in October – November. Structural strengthening works have been completed on 12 apartment houses in the Republic as part of the government program since the beginning of this year, the Ministry said. *i
